FAMILY DAYS IS CELEBRATING 20 YEARS IN 2015! OCTOBER 1ST THROUGH 4TH!
Family Days is the event of the year! This initial event fostered by an all-volunteer group, has grown from an initial attendance of 15,000 in 1995 to almost 60,000 today. Each October, our community comes out to participate in a variety of ways. The fun begins on Thursday night with the opening of carnival, featuring $1 ride night. Thursday is also our Food Truck and Car Show night while Friday is generally Movie Under the Stars. Businesses, organizations and food vendors come out in full force for our 2 day Expo on Saturday and Sunday. Start off at the amphitheater early Saturday morning for our Mascot Breakfast and finish just in time for the big parade! The Amphitheater always has something exciting going on. Whether it be a dance showcase, pet costume contest or band performance, we have it all! Our event has free admission and parking, and families will find there is plenty to do for everyone!
PLEASE BE SURE TO CHECK BACK AS WE GET CLOSER TO OUR 20TH ANNIVERSARY FOR EVENT DETAILS!
ATTENTION VENDORS, REGISTRATION WILL OPEN JUNE 1ST.
Family Days Parade
What would Family Days be without a parade? Local schools, businesses, dance companies and bands come out to join our annual parade. Want to be part of the fun? Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org for details concerning parade registration.
The Family Days Mascot Breakfast is a special event we host on Saturday morning during our Family Days event. Join Shelldon, The Bubba Gump Shrimp, McGruff the Crime Dog and more for a fun filled breakfast! When you are finished with your pancake breakfast, head down to City Center Circle and watch the parade!
ArtHaus Foundation of Port Orange presents a Street Painting Festival at Family Days! Talented artists turn out every year to create their masterpieces on spaces sponsored by area businesses and individuals on the plaza around City Hall. The public is invited to vote on the “People’s Choice” award, buying tokens to vote, in order to raise additional funds for this non-profit's youth art programs.
